Terms of Service

The terms on which you may access and use Earned on the Side.

Last updated: 23 August 2026 · Operator: Startup Deals Ltd · earnedontheside.co.uk

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the website Earned on the Side at earnedontheside.co.uk and related pages operated by Startup Deals Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), company number 16455426, registered office 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE.

By using the site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

2. The site

Earned on the Side publishes editorial content about attempts to build additional income alongside other work. Content may include income reports, reviews, methodology notes, referral directories and opinion.

The site may change, pause or stop without notice. Features described as planned or empty are not promises of future content.

3. No financial, tax or legal advice

Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax, legal or other professional advice. Content records one person's experience and research under a pen name and is for general information only.

You are solely responsible for decisions you make, including whether to use any product, service, account or referral offer. Always verify current terms with the provider and take independent advice where appropriate.

4. No guarantee of results

Past results, case studies, ratings and reported earnings are not a guarantee of future performance. Outcomes depend on personal circumstances, eligibility, provider terms, markets and effort. Experiments that earn nothing may be reported with the same seriousness as those that earn money.

5. Accuracy and changes

We aim to publish in good faith and to evidence figures where we claim them. Provider terms, pricing, eligibility and availability change frequently. Content may become out of date. Always check the provider's current terms before acting.

We may correct errors. Material corrections may be logged on our Corrections page.

6. Affiliate and referral links

Some links are affiliate or referral links. If you use them, Startup Deals Ltd may receive a commission or other benefit. This is disclosed in our Affiliate Disclosure and, where practical, near the link. Using a referral link is optional; you may visit providers directly.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the site in any unlawful way or for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, data or accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the site, including by malware, scraping that overloads systems, or automated abuse
  • Misrepresent your identity when contacting us
  • Copy, scrape or republish substantial parts of the site except as allowed in section 9
  • Use the site to send spam or unsolicited promotional messages to us or others

We may suspend or block access where we reasonably believe these Terms are breached.

8. Contact form and communications

If you send a message via the contact form or email, you confirm the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to send it. Do not submit unlawful, abusive or confidential third-party information without authority.

We may retain messages as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the site design, text, graphics, logos, compilation and other materials are owned by Startup Deals Ltd or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws.

You may view and print reasonable extracts for personal, non-commercial use. Short quotations with clear attribution and a link back are welcome. You may not republish whole articles, reports, rating datasets or substantial extracts without prior written permission, or use our branding in a way that suggests endorsement.

10. Third-party sites and services

The site may link to third-party websites and services. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, terms or privacy practices. Linking does not mean endorsement.

11. Liability

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

Subject to the previous paragraph, we are not liable for:

  • Loss of profits, revenue, business, data, goodwill or anticipated savings (whether direct or indirect)
  • Indirect or consequential loss
  • Loss arising from reliance on site content or from third-party products or services reached via the site
  • Incompatibility with your device or software, or temporary unavailability

If we are liable to you in connection with the site despite these Terms, our total aggregate liability is limited to one hundred pounds sterling (£100), except where liability cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Startup Deals Ltd from claims, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the site or breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

13. Privacy and cookies

Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Cookies and similar technologies are described in our Cookie Policy. Non-essential cookies are used only with consent where required.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, except where applicable law requires a different process.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Affiliate Disclosure, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding use of the site and supersede prior understandings on that subject.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK you may also bring proceedings in your local courts where the law allows.
